The Foreigner at JCCT

The Foreigner is continuing its run at Johnson City Community Theatre tonight. The hilarious comedy about a shy copy editor’s trip to Georgia begins at 8 p.m. tonight and tomorrow night and 2 p.m. on Sunday. For tickets or more information visit http://www.jcct.us/.

 

ETSU Bluegrass Band at the Fold

East Tennessee State University Bluegrass Band will play at the Carter Family Fold tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. If you haven’t had a chance to see our neighboring college’s bluegrass band, I would suggest putting down the books for awhile because this is a performance you’ll regret skipping.

 

Bye Bye Birdie at NPAC

Bye Bye Birdie will play at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Greenville, Tenn., this Sunday! The show begins at 3 p.m. and tickets are $35 for adults and $12 for students. For more information visit www.greenevillenpac.com.

 

The Barter Theatre Presents!

School will be out for the summer as soon as you know it, so what are your plans for the break? Personally, I’m getting a job and saving up a little cash, and you would be smart to do the same. Jazz Ensemble at Seeger Chapel

This Monday Milligan’s Jazz Ensemble perform at Seeger Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Relax a little and enjoy the music this group has to offer. After all the show is free, and if you’ve attended Milligan for more than a semester, you know that they are going to be good.

 

Festival of One Act Plays and Short Films

We’ve heard the hype and felt the excitement for weeks, and now it is time! From April 28 to April 30 the One Acts will be performed and the Short Films will be shown on May 1 at 6 p.m. each night in the Gregory Center. Come out and watch the many treats your peers have to offer.

 

Juried Art Show

Entries for the Juried Art Show will be displayed beginning on April 27 after being judged by ETSU’s Wayne Dyer. Works will range from photography, sculptures and digital media. The display will be in Sub7.

 

Orchestra Concert Tonight!

Milligan’s Orchestra will play in Seeger Chapel tonight at 7:30 p.m. The show will feature Baroque works for both string orchestra and harpsichord. Several other pieces will be featured by Edvard Grieg, Karl Jenkins, Leroy Anderson and Gustav Holst.

 

Jazz Combo at SUB7 Later Tonight!

Milligan’s own Jazz Combo will perform at SUB7 tonight at 9 p.m.  So after you attend the Orchestra concert, and you are still jonesing for some relaxation and laid-back tunes, check out the Jazz Combo! Bring Yo’self!
